CATS o espectáculo musical criado por Andrew Lloyd Webber baseado em "Gatos" do escritor T.S. Eliot foi apresentado nos dias 24 a 30 do corrente mês no Centro Cultural de Macau.

No primeiro dia da venda de bilhetes ao público esgotaram-se ao fim de algumas horas e com muita sorte consegui bilhetes para o dia 29.

O espectáculo foi fenomenal, os "gatos" interagiam com o público no decorrer do espectáculo e durante o intervalo, saíam do palco para a plateia, corriam atrás de pessoas, abraçavam-os, faziam malabarismos e até posavam para as fotografias.

Foram cantadas várias músicas, algumas de introdução às personagens e outras que narram a história e por fim a canção mais conhecida "Memory". O elenco tinha uma espantosa voz e eram óptimos dançarinos.

O Cats desde a sua primeira estreia continua a ser um dos mais célebre musical, aconselho a não perder a próxima estreia seja a onde for e a onde estiverem. E mais após o arranque em Macau irão fazer uma extensa digressão pela China nas seguintes cidades, Cantão, Pequim, Wuhan, Chegndu, Dongguan e Shenzhen. Por isso é para não perder!!

 

 

 

 

   

  

 

Após uma semana atribulada nem tive a oportunidade de actualizar o blog.

Fui a 2 concertos maravilhosos, um do Black Eyed Peas (Black Blue and You World Tour) no Venetian e o outro da pianista Maria João Pires no Centro Cultural de Macau.

 

Apesar do atraso do espectáculo do Black Eyed Peas devido ao atraso do espectadores para encher a arena, o concerto foi o máximo. A maior parte dos espectadores eram estrangeiros. Nunca vi tantos americanos em Macau e todos concentrados no mesmo sítio.

O concerto foi sempre a bombar, todas as músicas conhecidas e as melhores do conjunto, tal como "Don´t Phunk With My Heart", "Pump It", "Don't Lie", "My Humps", "Hey Mama", "Where is the Love?" e muito mais. Os membros do conjunto cantaram também a solo das suas músicas mais recentes.

É a primeira vez que assisto a um espectáculo desta dimensão em Macau.

 

Quanto ao concerto da pianista Maria João Pires não tenho palavras para descrever. É uma excelente pianista, nunca vi ninguém a tocar com tanta emoção.

Após o concerto houve uma secção de autógrafos no átrio do Centro Cultural, com certeza que não poderia deixar escapar esta oportunidade e recebi dois autógrafos um na capa do CD e o outro no programa do concerto.

  HAPPY MID AUTUMN'S FESTIVAL!!

  

  

            

 

 

Last night went to a concert of Macau Orchestra on St. Domnique Church. The title of the concert was "Flourishing Art".

This is the first time listening to a piano sound inside the church, the accoustic was also good.

The two interpretation with piano arrangment was fabulous.

I never thought that the interpretation of Rachmaninov songs was so difficult. It is so hard to play -.-"

 

  

 

  

   

 

 

The Macau International Fireworks Contest have start again on this month from 15 to 1 of October during 5 nights (15, 22, 25, 29 and 1) with two displays, one at 9pm and another at 10pm. The teams are from United Kingdom, South Korea, Australia, Taiwan, Portugal, Philippines, USA, Japan, France and China.

It was the second weekend being on The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. A huge complex located on the Cotai Strip. The Venetian includes a Hotel with 3000 suites; Casino with 4 large rooms, each one with a different theme; 350 shops on the Grand Canal Shoppes with a atmosphere of the old Venice; a Convention and Exhibition area with 100,000 square meters and an Arena with 15,000 seats.

 

It is a nice place to hang around with a touch of american/european style, but I still think that it must never have constructed the building same like the one in the Las Vegas because it does not fit in the territorial scale. A great architecture must be constructed from the origin, base on the culture, custom, scale of the city, etc.

 

I have taken some pictures of the building, just the inside ones because I still don't have the oportunity to walk on the whole complex, hope you enjoy it. 

 

 

Hello!! I am back!!

It is such a long time out of Windows Live Space.  Well.. not really, sometimes doing small updates on "photo albums" and "quote of the week", but it is really so long without wrinting on the blog lolll it is just because of my laziness.

 

On this time I tried to use the new modules of window live space. I uploaded 2 videos from YouTube, the first one called "Inochi no Namae" from Joe Hisaishi and sing by Ayaka Hirahara, and the second one called "Sakurairo Mau Koro" from Mika Nakashima. Of course both of them are related with piano, cause it is my favorite instrument and are good to listen and so relaxing, therefore it is always my choice any song with piano arrangement.

 

Time flies!!  I am back to Macau for already 2 months. It was such a suddenly return lol.

I am not already accustomed to Macau summer weather and I had to return on the hottest time ~.~

I have participate on the exhibition "WE ARE ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS NOW" sponsor by HP and the museum.

I know these event by my friend and I have to thank you for it.

Everyone can upload images to the site and wait to be exhibited on the museum. When I have upload it I was already the 16,991th contributor, it is a huge number of people knowing about it and like to exhibit their photos too.

This event have started on 8th of February and will end on 20th of May 2007. If someone also want to show any photo have to hurry.

When your image have been selected they will send back to your mail an image of the installation of your image on the museum.

Today the called "Fa Si" (Flower Market) have been open until the chinese new year. There is a lot of flowers to buy and meaning things, they all bring luck for the people. Everything that the chinese people put into the store to buy for the chinese new year have lucky meanings, like on foods, flowers, another ornaments, etc.

It use to say that who walk on the Flower Market will bring good luck, it was therefore that I was there lol.
